At the His Mansion Institute (HMI), the training/equipping branch of His Mansion Ministries, we are committed to seeing students who love Jesus experience what it means to bring hope and help to men and women who desperately need it. Classrooms only go so far. Here at His Mansion, we want to draw students out of the classroom and into the trenches, helping them to experientially learn what care and ministry looks like on the ground.Students who have a heart for hurting people and want to witness the transforming power of the gospel in real life will find what they are looking for at His Mansion. We are looking for motivated and passionate students interested in gaining practical ministry experience alongside their academic studies. This internship will serve as a powerful way to field test classroom concepts in real life. It is for students who are humble, eager to learn, willing to serve, and have a heart of compassion for hurting men and women. Students will be able to enter into the healing process by loving the men and women we serve and leading them to the Savior, the Great Physician, the One from whom all healing comes, Jesus Christ. The internship experience is for students studying a broad range of disciplines, such as psychology, counseling, or pastoral ministry. However, it is not in any way limited to students studying these types of disciplines, but is for any student who is ready and willing to serve broken people who need Jesus as a broken person who needs Him too.
We have two different tracks, varying in duration, when it comes to our internship opportunities:
Summer Internship Track (8 weeks)
- Critical Dates – 2014:
Early Application Deadline – February 1st
Late Application Deadline – March 22nd
Practicum Start Date – June 5th
Practicum End Date – August 1st
Semester Internship Track (16 weeks)
Both of these tracks offer much of the same opportunity, however, more time means more opportunity for learning, growth, and challenge.
