Isaiah 43:2,”When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

During my year as a Servant Leader, God has taught me how to use the gifts He has given me for the betterment of His Kingdom. It has been so challenging and yet so rewarding. It has taught me to serve like Jesus. It has taught me to lay myself down and to put others first and to point people to Christ. Through this past year, He has taught me how to love people and treat everyone as if it is Jesus Himself. He has taught me more about Himself as the suffering servant. He knows my weakness and my pain and is with me in it. He has taught me about humility and selflessness. Overall, this year has shown me more who our Savior really is. I have seen the face of Jesus. He has continued to transform me more into His image.

It has been a huge privilege to get to walk alongside each one of you in my time here, but especially my resident women. I am so honored to know each one of you. I truly am a better person because each of you are in my life. Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to love you and fight with you. You are each some of the most courageous women I have ever met. Being able to watch your hearts be transformed and witnessing you each falling more and more in love with our Savior blesses me in ways that I cannot express. I love y’all so much!

To all the residents: Keep pressing into each other and leaning on each other. You need each other. You need the Lord. You don’t have to do things on your own anymore. Don’t stop seeking Him. You are all worth being known. You are more loved than words can ever express. Remember that your feelings do not determine whether or not God is good or whether or not His truth remains. He is always good and always for you. Your existence itself is such a gift!

Servant Leaders: Thank you for fighting with me and walking with me. Thank you for allowing yourselves to be known by me. I love you all and I see the Lord in each of you.

I could go on and on thanking people because every single person in this community has been a huge part of my own healing process and will always be in my heart. When we love deeply, it’s like we are building a community inside our hearts. You are each in my heart forever. I will miss this community deeply. I will continue to pray for each one of you. Thank you all for loving me and accepting me just for being me! You have all shown me the love of Christ.

I will go where God leads me. My heart is to serve Him and point others to Him.
