ORDER OF WORSHIP
Call to Worship & Benediction – God gets the first and the last word. The Call to Worship is God’s call to us as a community to worship Him together. Laying aside personal agendas, realizing where we are and what we are to be doing, we focus on God and yield to Him our full awareness and attention. In the Benediction, we are reminded that it is only by God’s power and blessing that we are able to go out into the world, to surrender our lives in daily worship and live out God’s mission.
Worship through Song – Our worship leader and praise team lead us in corporate singing because our proper response to the Almighty God of the Universe is praise and adoration. The authenticity of our praise will correspond directly to our experience of being rescued.
Time of Silence – This is a time of silent reflection, prayer or scripture reading so as to prepare our hearts and focus our minds more fully on the worship of the Triune God.
Priesthood of all Believers – Each week the Elders will designate someone to break the silence and open our time of Priesthood. Thereafter, any born-again believer present is invited to speak to God the Father about the excellency of His Son, Jesus Christ. This may be done with words of Scripture, a brief prayer or even through song. This is always a time of adoration, praise and thanksgiving, during which we remain centered on Jesus Christ: who He is to us and what He has done for us.
Individual and Corporate Confession – It is our custom to confess our sins together every week. We do so silently and individually on our knees. Our personal confession is followed by our corporate confession in unison. A designated person leads us in this acknowledgement of our desperate need for God’s mercy and grace. Following confession we are reminded of the assurance of our pardon in Christ Jesus.
Worship through Tithes and Offerings – Recognizing that God is the giver of every good gift, we are blessed to give back to the Lord a portion of what He has given to us. Our Sunday giving supports our Gospel missionaries as well as the operation of the Meeting Place and does not go into His Mansion’s general fund.
Worship through the Word – We preach exegetically from God’s Word for the equipping of the saints and the building up of the household of faith.
The Lord’s Supper – We invite all who recognize their need for the sacrifice of Jesus’ body and the cleansing of Jesus’ blood to partake of this sacred meal. We come forward to receive the elements, take them back to our seats and partake corporately.
