Jerame and his wife Rachelle at His Mansion

Stories of Restoration– Jerame

“I was really going for self-discovery,” says Jerame in regards to attending the Resident Program. He believed that he was getting help for his drug abuse, but he quickly learned that his problem was not addiction, but rather his false self-perception.

Jerame began using drugs at sixteen. Childhood trauma led him to believe lies that ultimately hurt himself and others, creating a vicious cycle of brokenness. However at the age of twenty-eight, Jerame knew something needed to change. In September 2008, Jerame joined the Resident Program at His Mansion—his life has never been the same.

Though the program was challenging, Jerame quickly realized his need was not sobriety but a change of perspective towards himself and others. “I had to make that choice, you know? I had to decide if I was who I believed I was or who God said I was,” Jerame notes.

Nearing his graduation, Jerame met his future wife at a Healing in the Context of Community conference. After graduating, Jerame returned as a Servant Leader, ministering to the men in the Resident Program. In 2012, he and Rachelle were married and now have two children, Samuel and Ariel.

Since his time as a Servant Leader, Jerame has had various employment opportunities including personal training and owning his own business. Recently, however, the Lord has called Jerame back to ministry. Concerned about finances, Jerame repeatedly ignored the Lord’s prompting. Unable to ignore God’s plan, Jerame accepted a job at the Springfield Rescue Mission. “No amount of money could replace the peace that I have working here.”

Looking forward to the future, Jerame is excited for the ways he is being called into a deeper relationship with Jesus. “I’m so sold out for Jesus that nobody could convince me otherwise. Now He’s calling me deeper. I’m just looking for the next opportunity to do what I’m supposed to do.”

Paul and his wife Julie

Staff Spotlight

Paul Caruccio is His Mansion’s Director of Development. While attending the University of Vermont as a finance major, Paul found a personal relationship with Jesus through the help of a friend. After giving his life to Jesus,Paul grew his faith by joining a Campus Crusade for Christ group at UVM. Later at college, Paul met his wife, Julie, and they were soon married after graduation.

Paul and Julie began a 23 year adventure working for Campus Crusade for Christ, now called CRU, in 1990. Paul served in various capacities including being the Campus Director at the University of New Hampshire and as the Northeast Regional Director, securing financing for CRU chapters across the states. Paul also served in a similar capacity for an affiliate ministry of Wycliffe Bible translators, helping to raise financing to translate God’s Word into new languages to bring the Gospel to unreached people groups all over the world.

Paul joined the His Mansion staff in February, 2022 and connects with partners of His Mansion helping to inform them of the restoration work the Lord is accomplishing through the ministry. Paul’s heart is for relationship and is assisting willing partners to help provide a stable financial footing for the future of His Mansion. Paul has been a valuable addition to the staff and community at His Mansion and is striving to further the mission of seeing the Gospel of Christ restore broken lives.

Prayer Requests

Below are a few ways to pray for His Mansion:

  • His Mansion is searching for multiple staff positions to be filled. Please pray that the Lord would bring the right people to serve in these roles.

  • Two new families have recently joined on staff. Pray as they settle in and begin working with Staff, Residents, and Servant Leaders.

  • As the Resident programs increase in capacity, the need for Servant Leaders also increases. Please pray with us that the Lord would call men and women to serve here.

  • This past May six men and women graduated from the Residential program. Pray as they move to the next season of life that God has for them.
